Terms of Service

Plain English summary: Use TeamX legally, don't abuse it, keep your credentials secure, and respect the privacy of others. By creating an account you agree to these terms.
1 Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using the TeamX platform ("Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you are using TeamX on behalf of an organisation, you represent that you have the authority to bind that organisation to these Terms.
If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the Service.
2 Description of Service
TeamX provides a WebRTC-based remote desktop platform allowing authorised users to remotely access, view, and control computers ("host devices") from web browsers or desktop applications ("viewers"). The Service includes:
- Encrypted remote desktop streaming via WebRTC
- User and device management portal
- Session scheduling and recording capabilities
- Access control features (RBAC, IP allowlisting, TOTP 2FA)
- Administrative tools for enterprise deployments
3 Account Registration
To use TeamX you must create an account by providing accurate information including a valid email address. You are responsible for:
- Maintaining the confidentiality of your credentials
- All activity that occurs under your account
- Promptly notifying TeamX of any unauthorised access at security@teamx.io
TeamX reserves the right to suspend accounts where we detect signs of compromise or abuse.
4 Acceptable Use
You may only use TeamX to access computers and systems for which you have explicit authorisation. By using the Service you confirm that:
- You own or have written permission from the owner of every host device you connect to
- You will use the Service in compliance with all applicable laws and regulations
- You will not use the Service to access personal or confidential data without authorisation
- You will use session recording only with the knowledge and consent of session participants, where required by law
5 Prohibited Activities
You must not:
- Access devices or systems without authorisation ("unauthorised computer access")
- Use TeamX to install malware, spyware, or ransomware on any device
- Intercept, monitor, or record communications without consent where required by law
- Attempt to reverse-engineer, decompile, or extract source code from the Service
- Probe, scan, or test the vulnerability of TeamX infrastructure
- Circumvent authentication or security controls
- Resell or sublicense access to the Service without written permission
- Use automated scripts to create accounts or abuse the free tier
- Transmit unlawful, harmful, defamatory, or infringing content
Violation of this section may result in immediate account termination and, where applicable, referral to law enforcement.
6 Subscription & Billing
- Free plan: Available at no charge, subject to usage limits defined on the Pricing page.
- Pro plan: Billed monthly or annually. Subscription renews automatically unless cancelled before the renewal date.
- Enterprise: Custom billing terms agreed in a separate order form.
- Refunds: We offer a 14-day money-back guarantee on first-time Pro subscriptions. Contact billing@teamx.io.
- Price changes: We will provide at least 30 days' notice before changing subscription prices.
Failure to pay may result in suspension of paid features. Accounts are not deleted immediately on non-payment.
7 Intellectual Property
TeamX and its licensors retain all intellectual property rights in the Service, including software, trademarks, and documentation. These Terms do not grant you any rights to TeamX intellectual property except the limited right to use the Service as described herein.
You retain ownership of any content you create or transmit through the Service (e.g., session recordings stored in your account).
8 Privacy & Data
Your use of the Service is subject to our Privacy Policy and Cookie Policy, which are incorporated into these Terms by reference. Key points:
- Remote session video/audio streams are encrypted end-to-end — TeamX cannot access session content
- We do not sell your personal data
- You are responsible for ensuring that your use of session recording complies with applicable laws in your jurisdiction
9 Service Availability
We aim to maintain high availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted access. The Service is provided "as is" and "as available". We may:
- Perform scheduled maintenance (with advance notice where possible)
- Suspend access to address security incidents
- Modify or discontinue features with reasonable notice
Pro and Enterprise subscribers receive priority in our incident response process.
10 Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, TeamX and its officers, employees, and agents shall not be liable for:
- Indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages
- Loss of profits, data, goodwill, or business interruption
- Unauthorised access to your data or sessions by third parties
Our total aggregate liability to you for any claim arising out of or related to these Terms or the Service shall not exceed the greater of (a) the amount you paid in the 12 months preceding the claim, or (b) USD $100.
11 Indemnification
You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless TeamX and its affiliates from and against any claims, damages, losses, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from:
- Your violation of these Terms
- Your use of the Service in breach of applicable law
- Unauthorised access to devices using your account credentials
12 Termination
You may terminate your account at any time from Profile > Settings > Delete Account. Upon termination:
- Your access to the Service will cease immediately
- Personal data will be deleted within 30 days, subject to legal retention obligations
- Prepaid subscription fees are non-refundable after the 14-day money-back period
TeamX may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms, with or without notice depending on severity.
13 Governing Law
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with applicable law. Any disputes arising out of or relating to these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the competent courts in the jurisdiction where TeamX Technologies is incorporated.
14 Changes to Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. When we make material changes, we will notify registered users by email at least 14 days before the changes take effect. Continued use of the Service after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
If you do not agree to the revised Terms, you must stop using the Service and may delete your account before the effective date.
